Most of Jupiter's housing stock was built between the 1980s and the early 2000s, putting the majority of homes in the age range where roofs, coatings, and exterior finishes are due for attention.

The town's identity is shaped by its water access - boating, fishing, and beach life are central to daily life here, and outdoor living areas including pools, patios, and paved surfaces are standard on most single-family homes. Carlin Park on the Atlantic Ocean is a gathering place for families across the town, and Indiantown Road serves as the main east-west connector between the beach communities and the western neighborhoods. To the north, Jupiter borders Tequesta, a small community with many waterfront homes that face similar coastal concrete challenges.
